Equilibria's work in the Education Community
"The last couple of weeks have seen a couple of significant milestones in Equilibria's contribution in the Education sector.
First, Lewis Senior our Co-CEO spoke to 200 teachers, administrators and leaders at the Southwest School in-service based in Houston.
This pre-empted a role out of the E-Colors to all the students in the next few weeks. We are partnering with Chevron in order to make a significant impact within the Southwest school system and are looking forward to seeing the results.
Laura Senior Garcia (Equilibria), Kanchana Chukham (Chevron Thailand employee seconded to Equilibria), Ron Guillory (Chevron HE'S advisor) and David Phillips (Chevron Global D and C, HE'S consultant) and Lewis Senior also took an active role in the next step of Sweeny ISD in-service.
Equilibria have been involved with Sweeny for three years now and there have been some significant "wins" along the way.
We started with the superintendent and his staff a few years ago, then introduced the E-Colors to over 200 teachers the following year. Once this was achieved we had the privilege of working with a selection of students from the ages of 14 - 16.
From the 27 students who were first exposed to the E-Colors six of them chose to become "E-Colors champions" and now two of them are left in the school, in their final year.
Tre Lemon (Red/Yellow) quarterback and Cori Higgins (Yellow/Red) were good enough to take four days from their summer break and join us and the teachers, as we prepared for and then ran one and half days of a deeper look into the E-Colors and associated processes.
Monday afternoon 16th August, EQ facilitated an E-Colors awareness session updated for teachers, new and old.
On Tuesday 17th we split the +200 people into eight classrooms and each group went through a module in the morning around STOP ACTION AUTHORITY and in the afternoon a module focused on PERSONAL INTERVENTION. Each module was co-faciliated by leaders from the school, ourselves, Tre and Cori.
A fantastic exercise in Realizing Potential and we look forward to see how things progress in Sweeny, especially interested in seeing the next cadre of student E-Colors Champions.
A special thank you to Randy Miksch, Jim Haley and the wonderful Blue/Green inspirer herself, Sandy Phillips".
