From David Phillips:
I work for a fantastic company. Through the Chevron Way, our Values, our Tenets of Operation and the Drilling and Completions Sphere of Influence initiative, plus my wonderful boss, Dave Payne, I have been allowed to partner with Equilibria to take an amazing tool, E-Colors to the Sweeny Independent School District. The same E-Color principles that have improved and enhanced communication, reinforced and sustained leadership behaviors, raised hazard identification awareness, etc., with our rig crews and project teams have been proven to work wherever people are interested in understanding their personality strengths and managing their potential limiters in order to better meet the needs of others and in the long run ensure better results. It has been a wonderful opportunity working with Equilibria and the Sweeny Administrators, Teachers and Students and the best part of the experience is that I always receive more than I can give.
Realizing potential should be a journey that all of us are committed to for life. Regardless of position, education, or financial status real opportunity comes from striving to be the best that you can be. There is no routine task or job when a person is concerned with doing things better or safer. Through E-Colors I can facilitate the opportunity for people to start their own personal realizing potential journey.
I’m very much looking forward to this realizing potential journey with the Administrators, Teachers and Students of Southwest.
From Jim Haley:
On behalf of Sweeny ISD, I would like to say it is exciting to get to mentor another school. It is very rewarding to learn and develop alongside other educators, collaborate and share ideas, and experience diversity of thought and practice that enrich all of our experiences. Truly being an educator means being a lifelong learner, and as David Phillips shared with me recently, a “scholar” in the best sense of the word!
Sweeny Scholars to Southwest Scholars, we look forward to our time together with you next week!
