Equilibria, in partnership with CPD International, provides IWCF & IADC certified Well Control Training courses throughout Asia Pacific. Founded in 2005 the company has already gained extensive experience in providing Well Control courses throughout the region.
Our courses are normally held in business class hotels in cities across the region including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Miri, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Balikpapan, Shenzhen and Yangon.

Our Well Control Coaches (Bio’s Below) have considerable experience in the delivery of Well Control courses and conduct their courses using a Mobile “DrillSim” Simulator. In addition, customizable courses are available upon client request and local language courses are available in Indonesia and Malaysia. We currently run approximately 52 courses per year.

Coach Bios:


  Glenn Potter

Glenn potter joined the drilling industry in 1980 during a break in his studies at Hamilton Teachers College and Waikato University in New Zealand. He enjoyed gaining the hands-on experience so much that, for the next 20 years challenging jobs, working on Land, Semi and Jack Up rigs, took him from Australia to Spain to the North Sea. Positions included Roughneck, Derrickman, Roustabout, Driller, Toolpusher and Engineer.

In September, 2000, Glenn was asked to bring his practical know-how to the classroom when he began running the Well Control courses at Schlumberger and Transocean’s Jakarta Learning Centre. His areas of specialization are Supervising, Administering, Instructing, Training and Coaching. Professional qualifications feature certification as IWCF Accredited Assessor, IADC Accredited Instructor, IWCF Combined Subsea Surface Supervisor as well as Major Emergency Management credentials.

After spending nearly 4 years at the Jakarta Learning Centre, Glenn now supplies quality well control training and instructional services to the drilling industry throughout Asia and the Pacific. In association with Equilibria, his current priorities are focused around planning, organizing and conducting a series of in-depth well control workshops and training seminars, scheduled around the globe, focusing on UNDERSTANDING IS THE KEY. Glenn’s teaching skills in association with his hands on background combine to delivery a high quality well control training and certification, that can also be tailored to meet any client specific needs
     
  Wayne Wilmeth

Wayne Wilmeth joined the drilling industry in 1974 with a B.A. Honours Degree from the University of Wyoming. He first worked as a member of the maintenance crew on a Sedco semi-submersible in the North Sea before becoming an Assistant Drilling Trainee and working his way up to the position of Driller. He held this position for 5 years until 1980.

Wayne then stepped in to the training side of the business and spent the next 20 years conducting safety and drilling courses with Santa Fe International Corporation, where he held various positions including Training Manager, Worldwide Training Manager and Area Training Manager (Middle East). Before joining Equilibria, Wayne was HSEQ Manager for KCA Deutag based in Thailand.

In addition to his 34 years experience in the oilfields, Wayne holds numerous training certifications and accreditations including World Safety Organization (Certified Safety Specialist – Oilwell Drilling & Servicing) and IWCF Well Control Instructor / Assessor (Certified at Supervisor Subsea Level). Wayne has an ability to coach drilling personnel from diverse nationalities and backgrounds and a motivation to help them achieve their goals and advance their careers. To Wayne, “the future of our industry is all about people!”
     
  Bondan Adhiguna

Bondan Adhiguna, joined the oil and gas industry in 1995. Holding a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, he started his exposure in Drilling Operations through a development program created for new graduates in a major oil & gas service company. The program allowed him to gain hands-on experience working in different departments on different types of drilling rigs, in positions ranging from Roustabout to Assistant Driller in Drilling Department, as well as working with Mechanical, Electrical, Sub-Sea, and Marine Departments.

In 1997 he started his onshore assignment as Drilling Operations Engineer which required him to act as the company’s representative engineer working in client’s office. Following this position, he continued his service on many different positions related to drilling operations, including Staff Engineer and co-managing a drilling rig.

With his high passion in people’s training and development, in 2006 he started in assisting Well Control courses. In 2007 the first Well Control course in Bahasa Indonesia was run by Equilibria, with Bondan as the instructor. Certified as IADC Accredited Instructor and with his skill in training and coaching will ensure a high quality Well Control training and certification.
